Wallow the wretched bugs

Sorry to disapoint you, it’s confirmed to be intended, that’s not a speculation.
But as I said, they also agreed to make an exception after the players’ feedback.

[Hearthstone] Currently, when Wallow, the Wretched is moved from hand to deck, it will lose all its enchantments except for Sweet Dreams (+4/+5. Place a card on top of your deck). This is consistent with the general rules of the game, but we know that this can be frustrating and counterproductive for Wallow. We’re working on an exception to allow Wallow to retain Dark Gifts when the card is moved from hand to deck by Sweet Dreams (and only by Sweet Dreams), planned for an upcoming patch.

If that were intended, they would at least write out the most negative impact of that choice. The +4/5 shuffle makes sense as written and this is an invisible downside, a bug.

No they wouldn’t, because wallow is the only minion that can ever be put back from hand to deck because of a dark gift, so they would not have added extra text just for that specific interaction.

Besides, it’s already an official, albeit hidden, game rule, which means they would not have to writte it on any card, as they already don’t for any other card that shuffles a minion back in a deck.
